It’s July 14th, the day of the t-shirt fundraising party. It’s also only 4 weeks until I am in Guate again. And, in preparation of that, I am packing up another box that will get shipped. Transportes de Leon (in San Francisco) will ship a 30″ x 30″ x 30″ box for me for about $245. And the weight of the box doesn’t matter. I have to put the box together in my garage and it’s impossible for me to move it once it’s packed and sealed. It’s just too heavy. They will pick it up from me and take care of it from there. It takes about 14-18 days to get to the orphanage and it sure makes it convenient to get things to the boys. It’s just wonderful to be able to get so much stuff in the box and get it to the orphanage.
I had a 9 am visit today from JoAnn Brown. She and some friends are making blankets for the boys. I took 13 of them in April. This time, I think there are about 20 blankets in the boxes. JoAnn also brought 50 new matchbox cars and all of them are different. She brought 50 Disney washcloths. They will puff up in size when water is added to them. Pretty cool. She also brought some clothes for the boys. What a nice gift for the boys! They will enjoy everything.

I’m getting ready for the t-shirt party that’s being held tonight. You can see the story board in this picture. My laptop will be on and it will be looping a power point presentation that tells the story of the orphanage and the boys. Attendees are encouraged to buy a t-shirt to support the orphanage. You can see some of the t-shirts in this picture.
And yes, this is a picture of JoAnn and some of the donations that she brought. Thanks JoAnn!
OK…. time to get the table ready for the party !
